So many on the left realize how foolish and tenuous their stated beliefs are, subconsciously. They long for vindication out of a deeply felt insecurity. You can not live saturated in blatant lies without qualms and doubts. They lack conviction.

People didn’t just WANT to believe Jussie, they want to believe the narrative that white people, especially Trump supporters, are racist homophobes that hunt down people like him. Truth be told, Jussie could walk around at 2 am in most white towns with not a worry about his safety. No one is stalking gay black men, or any of the other intersectionally privileged classes. It’s all in their heads. But if they had this one case, they could beat us over the head with it, over and over. And they probably still will, like Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown and dozens of other cases of fake outrage.

Fake hate crimes are depressingly common, but what is different is TWO nationally covered stories proven false and given NATIONAL coverage on the retraction.
It is proof of not just fake news but fake hate crimes that normally only get reported on a back page when retracted months later.

The liberal propaganda that it is common and excessive coverage of these fake events confirm their conspiracy theory. It is similar to how the excessive coverage of real school shootings and failure to vet suspected shootings before reporting them as real lead to people thinking there are kids getting shot at school every day.
That’s why the stats on school shootings are ten times (or more) the actual rate.
