Guilty as charged. I am a crazy POS.
The wife was on a plant tour with some execs from VW. It was a stamping plant for transmission parts. The stamping company CEO was leading the tour. They got to the heat set furnace. The operator was a German. He actually said: “Hey Ernst, come explain what you are doing.” He turned to the group and said “Germans know all about furnaces.” From what she told me you should have seen the faces of the VW execs. If they could have crawled under the stamping press behind them they would have. To this day we don’t know if it was black humor or if he was oblivious.

Needs some spice added. Here is a recipe for spicy candied bacon using hot peppers I posted in one of the monthly cooking threads. I make it all of the time but I use honey and Demererra sugar because I live in Spain where Maple Syrup isn't easy to find.

That's what the lovely Mrs. Freeman made me; chocolate covered bacon, some dusted with cayenne pepper, others with toffee and some with crushed cashews.
