Warner Wolf wants to scrub the name of his place of residence like he was able to scrub the video of his dentures falling out on air. (Try and find it. You cant.)
Suddenly, sportscaster Warner Wolf is offended by the word plantation in the name of the place he bought into when he was a racist.
TMZ-
Sports broadcasting legend Warner Wolf who coined the phrase, Lets go to the videotape was arrested in Florida after officials say he ripped the word Plantation off a sign at a private community. Long story short Wolf lives in a gated community called, Classics Plantation Estates in Naples, Florida (about 60 miles from Miami) but he thinks the word Plantation is offensive and wanted it removed.
According to the police report, Wolf had lobbied the homeowners association to drop it for months but on Nov. 30th, the 81-year-old finally took matters into his own hands. Cops say Warner drove to the main community sign located in a fancy fountain and used a tool to remove the word himself. Officials say they have video showing Wolf defacing the sign and after a lengthy investigation, he finally surrendered to police on Feb. 7th. Also, cops say Warner returned the letters from the sign to the community security guard. Wolf was booked for causing criminal mischief that resulted in more than $1,000 in damage. He was released on $5,000 bond. So far, no comment from Warner.

Idiot.
A toothless wolf
The original definition of plantation is a farm which has only one cash crop. Thus: pineapple plantations in Hawaii.
I thought he was dead. Seriously.
Warner Wolf? A name from my childhood. Didn’t know he was still alive.
State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations
i remember watching him do the sportscast live when his dentures fell out...
Isn’t there a Plantation, FL? Buying s home there would really set him off!
of course the irony here is Wolf’s last years were spent as the sportscaster on the Imus in the Morning show...
Sometimes I hear a news story, and think it’s got to be satire.
Warner vandalized a sign, to prove what? To bend over backwards and prove that he is liberal?
My parents lived in a suburb of Ft. Lauderdale called Plantation. That’s the legal name of the town, not just a gated neighborhood. Ironically, a large portion of the town is now black. I’m sure when they get enough seats on the city commission they’ll vote to change the name, in what would have to be an expensive process.
What an ass.
I moved into an HOA, and a few blocks up from me, overlooking the shore on what I call a “street of CEOs” was a street named “Easy Street.” At least, that’s what it said on the initial deed map from the 80’s. All my life I worked to be able to afford to live two block from Easy Street.
So, what happened? The residents became distressed that the name was too immodest and changed it to something innocuous like “Little Bay Road.” It happened shortly before I got there, but I was disappointed. I’m not two blocks from Easy St. anymore.
(There was also the factor that all the local high-school students kept stealing the Easy Street sign, LOL).
Plantation wouldn’t bother me at all.
By the way, in rural central and northern Maine, there are large tracts of land that are too sparsely populated to be incorporated as towns or cities. Do you know what they are called? “Plantation ###” And, there were no slaves in antebellum Maine. (Now parts of it are overrun by imported Somalis, thanks to GWB and Obama, but that’s the topic for another rant.)
Used to live in Margate, next door.................
He’s still alive? Good grief. What a sad sack.
You can’t make this stuff up!...................
Warner Wolf should do a deep dive into how slaves were brought to America. If he did he might stop being so offended by words.
Hope I’m wrong but it sounds like dementia.
He saved a guy’s life in a restaurant with the Heimlich Maneuver once.
Is he dating RBG?
