Amazon may not be coming to Long Island City after all.
The e-commerce giant is reconsidering its plans to open a new 25,000-employee office in the Queens, New York neighborhood, the Washington Post reported on Friday. Two people familiar with the companys thinking told the Post that Amazon was turned off by growing local opposition to the deal, which has been building up since Amazon announced it would be building part of its so-called second headquarters in the Queens neighborhood last November.
The question is whether its worth it if the politicians in New York dont want the project, especially with how people in Virginia have been so welcoming, a source familiar with the matter told the Post.

Your beef is with the politicians, not Amazon.
IF...they wanted to deal with SJW politicians, there's no reason to leave Seattle.
No, that's life.
"So, if you mention extortion again, I'll have your legs broken."
The shakedown occurred earlier in the bidding process..... Amazon literally raped the NYC taxpayers to the point that even local democrats were shocked...
Yeah, but his in laws live there.
Yeah, I know. You guys have your quota of Leftists down there, too.
AND THE CITY OF NY
Huh? Rent is sky high in Northern Virginia and traffic is among the worst in the nation and most working class people I’ve spoken to are NOT happy about Amazon coming because rent will go even higher.
