Just before we were married, my wife bought a new 73 Cutlass Surpeme. Maroon with a white hardtop.
It was not a particularly good car, ran well etc. but eventually had a lot of mechanical problems. The 350 rocket V8 never stuttered tho.
I think the GTO, Cutlass, Skylark and Chevelle all shared the same basic body.
I still think it was one of the most beautiful cars ever.

Yeah.
I drove one of those around in high school.
Only it was a Volkswagen Camper Van with a 45 horsepower engine.
The girls really go for guys driving old Camper Vans.
I had to carry a stick to keep the girls off me.
My Dad called it “The best birth control, ever.”

When I was a freshman in HS I knew a man who had a Ferrari Daytona convertible, Fly Yellow.
It was stolen once and the police caught the guy three days later.
The car was OK but the drivers door had a big dent in it.
While being arrested the thief asked the Cops who owned the vehicle: “We can’t tell you that information,” the police replied.
“Well, whoever it is, tell him it will do 160 no sweat,” the criminal stated.
Fun story...
