Fluffy is obviously a Maine Coon or a large part of her ancestry is Maine Coon. That could have been the critical factor in her survival. That, and a lot of luck. I am glad she will be an indoor only cat now, because out there in Montana, she could easily become a coyote or mountain lion snack outdoors. I am so glad that she made it. She is a beautiful kitty!

I’m just wondering how ‘frozen’ the cat actually was. Clearly its fur was matted with snow, but what was its body temperature (what’s normal for a cat?)? AFAIK, reviving actual frozen flesh is still beyond our abilities, for humans or cats.
Glad to hear Fluffy made out OK, anyway!

Found in Montana Snow Bank
They have banks for snow in Montana?
Well Ill be.
Do you bring in a bag of snow and then they give you a snow deposit slip and they put it in a snow vault?
Not too many summer snow deposits Im guessing.
Do they have snow loans?
Hi. Id like to borrow some snow.
What are you going to use this snow for?
Oh, I dont know. I just want to have some snow around. You know, some Mad Snow to just fling around.
Im sorry, but that seems to be a frivolous use of snow.
Well, what do all the serious snow borrowers do with it?
They make forts and snowmen and snow angels.
OK. I want to borrow some snow to make a snowman.
Whatre you? Some kind of snow sexist? Were all about snow rights here. You cant make a snow woman?
I dont know. Maybe Id better go to the Snow Credit Union instead. I hear theyre giving away free toasters anyway.

We live in Balcones Wildlife Preserve, NW of Austin Texas. We have coyote, hawks, wild boars, and now on the local news — mountain lions. We have killed many poisonous snakes, most recently a coral snake.
Our cats are indoor cats unless we are outside with them and they stay in the fenced in backyard.
