The “-esqueness” of Trump’s (may re-election be upon him) SOTU speech.
I finally got the time to re-review the SOTU speech of 2/5/19. Sat down alone, no distractions (including EtOH) and just watched it leaving in (but ignoring) all the ovations.
Overall, I believe this speech can go down as one of the greatest calls to patriotism in modern history. It had not only soaring positive rhetoric for our nation and her people but, more importantly, challenges to be met as a nation.
Comparatively, detractors on the left made silly comparisons to the dog-whistles of George Wallace and, sadly yes, Hitler. A large part of the right invoked the name of Ronaldus Magnus in the style of rhetoric and content.
I will go against the grain and compare this speech to another public figure, one that President Trump admires. President John Fitzgerald Kennedy. Which, to FReeQs like me, would make sense.
Listen to it again. WATCH it again then listen to Kennedy’s “CIA conspiracy” speech AND Kennedy’s “moon-landing challenge” speech. You’ll get a Sissy Matthews tingle up your leg.
President Donald John Trump has returned us to the greatness that is the US. That unstoppable juggernaut that was “industrial America”. Full-steam ahead, mateys.
I consider JFK the last of the patriotic (nationalist) Democrats. He desired America FIRST, not an amalgam of nations being overseen by an “intelligence” elite. Yet, this is not the “return to Camelot” that the neo-socialist cabal (wet) dreams of. Trump, like JFK, believes in his core being that the people of the United States can accomplish anything...TOGETHER.
My final thought is that President Trump is constantly under threat for his life, just like JFK. He needs patriots to figuratively “surround” him with whatever is available. I can help.
