When POTUS talks about other world leaders, I listen to it with the idea in mind that POTUS looks out for our interests and other leaders look out for their countries’ interests instead of globalists scratching each other’s backs and looking out only for the interests of the global elite.

I believe that is one of his subtexts when he praises other world leaders.

I get the idea he has a good relationship with Xi personally but there are dark forces moving behind the scenes there, just like here.
