Well, I didn't quite make it to the end of the game without dozing off. Woke up at 0030 to some innane CBS show. But I did see my Commanders stuff it in the Fleet end zone...err...yeah..

Once again Army beats Navy!!

Went to the CBS Sports app on my Fire TV and the game was not there. So went to youtube and searched for "Alliance of American Football App” and there it is--

Doesn’t look like the Birmingham team is going to make it. I’ve been high school football games with more people in attendance.

Their QB is impressive so far.

The only decent looking uniform I’ve seen in the three games is the Birmingham team.

I have the app on my Roku tv, I haven’t used it in a while. I go there and it wants me to pay like CBS all access.

So, I go to their website, signed in with my tv provider.

Iron D is playing very well, shutting down the Trains.

When I started watching the Express/Iron game realized I made a boo-boo, mistakenly thought Mike Singletary was coaching Birmingham. Loved Mike as a linebackere, hated him as a coach--

So, I will live with being 3 - 1 for the week as I should have paid better attention.

Next week's games are:

Salt Lake at Birmingham Sat, Feb 16 1:00 PM CT
Arizona at Memphis Sat, Feb 16 7:00 PM CT
Orlando at San Antonio Sun, Feb 17 3:00 PM CT
Atlanta at San Diego Sun, Feb 17 7:00 PM CT

Therefore going by how the first week went, I see the Iron making the Stallions 0 and 2--

The Hotshots should beat the hapless Express--

Orlando looks to steamroll my Commanders to a 1 & 1 record--

And the first AAF winless bowl have the Enemas squeaking past Atlanta--

I do find it interesting that on the AAF app and AAF website, nowhere will you find conference standings.

As soon as I get a chance, I’m going to attend an Iron game.

I hope they can hang on. The Tide takes a lot of football mojo outa folks, but we need to support our new ‘Bama pro team!

This win will help, IMHO.

Now, no one has posted the actual scores for this week, so I will:

Week 1

Orlando 40, Atlanta 6

San Antonio 15, San Diego 6

Birmingham 26, Memphis 0

Arizona 38, Salt Lake 22

Arizona, Brimingham and Orlando really looked solid, my Commanders so-so as was the Enemas and Salt Lake while the Express appeared the step-child of the league.

If the Express does not improve a lot, I expect the attendance at their games could be embarrassing.

Sports Headline Circa 2071

One of the few remaining AAF legacy teams, The Memphis Express, has once again missed it’s opportunity to play in the season-ending Federation Bowl. Their loss to the upstart Ottumwa Tarkentons by 17 points sealed their fate.

Express fans, along with their Detroit Lions soul-mates in the NFL, still await that day when they can claim that they have truly achieved.
