I remember seeing this movie back in the 70's when I was a young kid and feeling uncomfortable about it all.

The forces of darkness have been working at it for a long time.

If all of this was not about “I have the wrong genitalia” and instead was merely (as is claimed today) a “personality” issue - “I think like X instead of Y” - then there would be no need for “trans” surgeries. “Drag queens” have long demonstrated they can “think like X instead of Y” without needing any “trans” surgery.

So it is really about the genitalia and it is an identity dysphoria - a mental problem - of the same type of any other mental rejection of the actual body. That includes all such similar issues from anorexia to the extremes of someone who wants to cut off an arm or a leg because they think it does not belong to them.

It is fixable, particularly the earlier the abherrant obsession is clinically and professionally thwarted, instead of enabled. And harder and harder to fix as the mode of enabling it is repeated year after year.

Well, really, then, we have no idea how he turned out.

The problem I have with all these traditional norms is that no one gets on girls who do “boy” things. It’s obviously unacceptable to be a girl, unless one is. Much more acceptable to be a boy.

You’re welcome.

Better to know the enemy. We’ve been dealing with this for a long time.

Exactly right.

Two steps Forward (Communist Style), one step standing still - at best.

I remember a PBS (big surprise) film from the U.K. called “The Naked Civil Servant” about a cross-dressing man working for the government. Early 70’s I think.

Yeah, they’ve been at work a long time.
