Redistricting for federal offices has no effect on state districts. Most people barely know who their state legislator is. When they actually take the time to call them, they often discover they are a neighbor or someone close to them. Far different than a bought and paid for stooge in DC.
The first state proposed amendment concerns a balanced budget. It is well-written. The people in the process are good people. If you like any of the conservatives on FR, you would probably like these state legislator folks even more.
Well, you misinterpreted.
I was pointing to the ^process^ employed here in Michigan for the referendum.
It can be summed up in one sentence: “The Democrats have thought this through and it is obvious to everyone, and the consensus is clear; this is the ONLY solution to our problem.”
