I wish there were another social platform besides Twitter that the president could use. But Gab isn't the answer. Maybe there's another option?
I'm surprised there aren't several twitter alternatives out there. Not having competition allows twitter to be as despicable as it likes without consequence. Users can't just flee to a competitor when there aren't any viable competitors.
Jack Dorsey explained in his interview yesterday that users the algorithms deem as problematic have their tweets ranked lower so they are harder to find. He says this is done so they don’t derail the conversation.
Shockingly, it’s always conservatives that their algorithms peg as ~problematic~.
And how did that work out for them? And for Buzzfeed and CNN, which were the real force behind the smear? Twitter is an archaic holdover from the old unmoderated text-based groups, crossed with pager technology. It sucks. There's no need to "protect us" from stupid regurgitated garbage on Twitter.

I look at all of Trumps Tweets and many of the negative comments.
And then, as part of my routine, I block as many of the Down on Trump Tweeter as I have time for.

I’d never heard of Gab till now. It’s too free for someone like Trump to get associated with. I may sign up though. Trump uses Twitter like a WMD. I don’t think anyone thought it would have such an impact like has has made with it.
And not only did the Gab "block" function serve to hide open, overt "Gas the K!kes!" Nazis, it also allowed little clubhouses of hard-core "anime" child porn to flourish.
The FBI will arrest you if you take or share pictures of actual children in porn. BUT, what if you share very well drawn cartoons (think "Vargas girls" talent level) of prepubescent children being raped? Guess what? It's technically legal!
And it flourished on Gab's "100% Free Speech" platform. Which was actually a cost-saving dodge to avoid paying moderators to delete "Gas the K!kes!" Nazi trash or hand-drawn illustrated child porn filth.
If you are not convinced, I could post dozens and dozens of memes that were accepted and posted for a long time on Gab AFTER Pittsburgh.
And you honestly wonder why Trump will not post on Gab?? Seriously?

You're underestimating the power of the platform. Much of what becomes newsworthy starts on twitter. They highlight particular stories that fit their agenda via moments or hashtags, work up the SJW blue-haireds to create a mob, and then every major media outlet covers it.

I'm half Jewish. Naturally I don't enjoy Nazis. That doesn't mean I believe a platform specifically designed to support free speech should deny free speech to groups they don't like. If people there are saying to gas Jews, that is a threat and is not protected speech.

What are you talking about? I am very much against twitter's blatant censorship which I have stated multiple times.
