Devin Nunes dropped a bombshell yesterday in an interview with Maria Bartiromo [Video Here]. Many people are overlooking the implications of his speculation; and, more importantly how Nunes statement answers just about every contradictory question people have carried. Including:

If I can do it you know damned well someone somewhere in the Justice department can do it, and should have sent it to the president months ago. This is nothing short of treasonous behavior, seditious maneuvering, and illegal / illicit covering up of crimes by Mule earsm Clinton, the obamaroid, Feinstein, Pelosi, Schumer, shiffhead, Ohr, McCabe, Comey, Rosenswine, and a host of embedded enemies of the Republic. Easy to take out Mueller now. President Trump directs him to deliver the person who leaked the raid on Stone to CNN, or lose his national security clearance. If he objects, Trump comes back - either your security clearance or the leaker, you choose.

What gave it away to me was when Trump asked Comey if he (Trump) was a target, and Comey said “nope, you’re not a target”....but then he added “but don’t tell anyone what I just told you”.

It was obvious to me that Comey had the entire FBI trying to take down Trump (i.e., Trump was a target), and Comey wanted to stay on top of it all (as FBI Director), hence was trying to trick Trump into keeping him on board.

But the problem for Comey was that since he ‘cleared’ Trump, Trump was now free to fire him, which he, of course did - and then Trump announced to the world that Comey told him that he was not under investigation (something Comey wanted hidden, because it was a lie).

...and, knowing full well that Comey could simply deny that discussion ever took place, Trump tweeted his famous “...I may have ‘tapes’”...at which point Comey was out of luck, and it was on to Plan B, which was Mueller.

Like the Stock Market breathes a sigh of relief when the definitive bottom is reached (the idea being there's only one way to go and that is up....), you are correct. He will allow the Independent Counsel fire all they have at him, Trump will turn to them mockingly and reply, "Two years of this and this is all ya got?"

Then with the precedent these last two years has set, Muller will be dismissed and Trump will appoint a new Independent Counsel -- to investigate the inquisitors. It may be that Andrew Weissman faces down 29 flak jacketed FPI guys in his pajamas at 3 AM. Or Comey, or Page, or Strock, or whoever else is worthy of such a roust.... Do it all on the same day.

Appoint Joe diGenova as special prosecutor, or even Chris Christie and let the fun begin! What's good for the goose is good for the gander.

Manafort and Stone were the old plumbers who worked serious disruption of (D) politics with Lee Atweater back in the 1970's and 1980's. For the (D)'s it was payback time whee and IC could investigate them and disrupt them. For the (D)'s it was payback time.

This has set for them an unfortunate precedent - sort of like Harry Reed killing the filibuster on judicial appointments -- be careful what you ask for.

Trump could use such an IC to investigate not only the frontline soldiers who lied to the FISA court, did the Fusion GPS smear, Comey's leaking, Hillary's eMAils, etc. But he will take it up a tier to levels not yet investigated: Deep Seth Rich murder probe vis a vis Wassermann-Schultz + Awan brothers, the WH source for direction of the IRS persecution of the Tea Party and Learners pleading innocence while pleading the 5th comes up and cancels her 5th plead. Investigate leaky Comey, the Obama BC, stolen SS numbers, Hillary and Muller with Uranium 1, leaky Rosenstein with CNN and Stone's arrest -- and all with the full force of the DOJ.

Payback's a bitch. Trump is just keeping his powder dry for now.

Meh. Trump could just go there in person and demand the documents in his hands, now. Whoever refuses can be immediately terminated for insubordination. Then he asks the next guy in line, etc, until someone decides they would like to keep their job and forks them over.
