I was expecting to see “Forbidden Planet” and maybe “Them”. I did NOT care for “The Incredible Shrinking Man” and “Invasion of the Body Snatchers” could have been better.

No War Of The Worlds?I think the early 50’s version was good.

I think just about everyone likes “Forbidden Planet” and “Invaders From Mars” so they aren’t under rated.

All four of those movies are considered classics and come from the 1950s which I think is the golden age of science fiction movies. I liked all four of them.
Invasion of the Body Snatchers may well have been better in its original version before the studio interefered. They insisted on removing the dark humor, and also had the opening and ending sequences with Whit Bissell and Richard Deacon inserted to ensure a relatively "happy ending".

Which version, because the 1956 version with Kevin McCarthy was great, also 1953's Invaders from Mars. There where lots of movies that back in the day were scary as hell like the Crawling Eyes, but we are so jaded now with the current tech and CGI, we just don't have anything left to our imaginations anymore.........and that's where the real magic happens, or used to.
