The flight attendant who died of a heart attack on a New York-bound plane was identified Friday as Emile Griffith, a 30-year Hawaiian Airlines veteran, officials said.
Griffith collapsed on Hawaiian Airlines Flight 50 from Honolulu to Kennedy Airport on Thursday night, prompting an emergency landing in San Francisco, the company said in a statement.

No idea what they have on the mainland flights.
Holeecrap... did they expect them to stop and think about a musical selection during this?
I fly weekly when on a project - about 6-8 months a year.
Ive seen 2 people die on a flight - they put a blanket over them. And Ive seen 3-5 others not die, but go into a bad state.
Not a charming event.
No, you now get both.
California is an “at will” state, so employers really don’t need to be very sneaky about it. You just notice one day that all your older colleagues have been quietly disappearing for a few years until one day you find yourself disappeared. It’s happened to a lot of friends after age 50. The good ones get back to work somewhere else; others may be out of work for good...or take a position way below their capabilities.
How does that work on a flight that is full? Do the passengers sitting next to the corpse have to stay in their seats?
Well, at least the corpse won’t be competing for the armrest.
Everthing dies and that’s a fact.
Yeah, as th sphincters relax and all, yech.
Poor ol 'Emile' probably wore out his sphincter years ago.
My husbands last day painting army helicopters was yesterday. He starts a new job on 2/4. Just couldn’t take the union drone mentality. He has TONS more experience than the guys 30 years younger than him, but because he’s the lowest on the union totem pole, they don’t listen to him. The topper was coming back after a short layoff, and the two younger dudes who are above him decided sitting on their asses for 2-3 hours a day was OK. This has been their attitude since he started over a year ago. And then, suddenly, you’re told you have to start working 10 hour days, including weekends, all because you have a couple guys who can’t spray for shit, and would rather sit on their butts than work. Drove my hubby nuts. He is incapable of that attitude. Got a new job, for mor pay and will be in charge of the entire paint production. He’ll be 60 this year. The owner who hired him is THRILLED to have his expertise. Our oldest son also works there, and the owner gave us huge compliments for his work ethic, which I think was a factor in my husband being hired.
My brother also got tired of the new bosses who didn’t know sh^t either, all the company seem to hire as bosses were butt kissers who demanded the lesser man(but better men) on the totem pole to do the same but with less of everything. And the paperwork, everything had to have paperwork(a safety thing, I understand it)
Brother’s new job doesn’t have the bennies the old job had but he comes home and not tired and frustrated. It’s worth it for his peace of mind.
Glad it turned out well for you and your husband.
if the flight is full, yes. i didn’t spend a lot of time examining the exact logistics.
I'm sure you much prefer the young cutey pie gay guys....all that winking and stuff ...
The reference to irritable grandmothers strike a bit close to home?
