One can easily imagine Tip O'Neil was more of a honorable politician than the likes of Pelosi or Schumer.

O'Neil was a firm believer in the spoils system and Reagan and even Carter drove him crazy the way they would block rewarding democrats.

And he was at least as liberal as Pelosi...And a heavy drinker, the Southern Baptist Carter really got on his bad side by locking up the White House liquor cabinet.

I agree with that. Trump made the threat of using emergency power. He must use it or he will never be believed in future negotiations.

That said, I'm sure that Democrats have already lined up their legal actions to block it. All that will accomplish is further proving to Americans that Democrats are not on their side, and don't represent their interests.

6) Trump is demonstrating leadership above partisanship, principles over pettiness and the bitter vindictiveness of Nancy Pelosi.
7) Trump is RADICALLY improving his approval rating among Mexicans, Latinos, blacks and minorities who are disproportionately impacted by illegal immigration.
8) Trump has forced the Democratic Party to turn hard left, a turn that will for decades make them less attractive in our center-right nation.
9) Trump is inspiring and educating true conservatives on how to actually fight like hell, stand on principle, deliver on campaign promises and laugh in the media’s faces.
10) Trump has accomplished all this in just 2 years, in spite of losers like Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnell, John McCain, and 98% of the Democrat-Media-Silicon Valley complex against him.
