FWIW, I was told by a friend years ago that aluminum causes Alzheimers ... when I heard that I threw out every aluminum pot, pan, and utensil I had and switched from canned to bottled beer
I’ve still got pretty good memory, just saying
That’s a classic case of “correlation is not causation”. They found unusual levels of aluminum in the brains of Alzheimer’s patients, but ultimately concluded that that was a symptom, not a cause.
Antiperspirants contain a large amount of aluminum (aluminum chlorhydroxide). Hat tip to Alton Brown.

I hear ya. A few years ago I went strictly stainless steel.
Years ago I knew a guy that sold pots and pans and used that analogy to scare people into buying his pots and pans made of stainless steel.

There was a time when “experts” said that aluminum in underarm deodorant could cause breast cancer. I got it in what I understand is a common area — right near the armpit. Who knows?
