Patriots Mascot Hospitalized After Jets Safety Jamal Adams Tackles Him

Jets safety Jamal Adams said he wasn't tying to injure Pat Patriots when he tackled the Patriots' mascot on Wednesday at the NFL Pro Bowl Skills Challenge, reports ESPN's Michael DiRocco.

Adams said he was told that the person inside the costume was hospitalized on Thursday.

When I saw the video of Jamal Adams deciding to tackle the Patriots Mascot when he was not looking I knew there would be a high probability of it not ending well. And so it came to pass. I hope the guy who got hospitalized gets a good lawyer.

It’s as if Jamal Adams didn’t know there is a human being in that costume. He should apologize.

I’m a Pat’s fan...I don’t think the guy was malicious, he simply wasn’t thinking. He probably is about 200 lbs, and really came down with his weight on some person who is not at all accustomed to real physical activity like that.

I am pretty sure he feels like a dumb ass and probably feels bad about it now. I don’t know anything about him...he might be, but just as likely, non-thinking. Something I could see a big teenager doing.
