The world is reeling in horror this week after Democratic lawmakers signed a new bill into law on Tuesday, officially legalizing abortions being performed right up until birth in New York. The Reproductive Health Act passed on Tuesday evening in a 38-24 vote and was signed into law by NY Governor Andrew Cuomo (D-NY).

Yes, the abortion “rights” activists, like Leftists, are masters of the euphemisms and manipulation of the language.

Having unwanted children treated different than wanted children is a recipe for unprincipled murder of citizens. Please watch "Gosnell", the movie, when you can. It's a cold hard look at the law that leaves out the argument about abortion. You get a first hand look at the system that allowed Mid evil torture and treatment for babies with no advocates. The system bent over backwards to cover up what was happening to protect abortion. Even if you favor abortion, you should know what you are approving of.
The Dredd Scott decision showed what can be done when a person is considered property instead of a person. There is a good case to be made that Dredd Scott started the Civil War. The North made laws that said if a slave was in a free state for a period of time, he was free. Scott went to court after he was denied his freedom and the SCOTUS decided against him. If people can be treated like a horse, then the slavery issue would never be solved peacefully.
I watched, even here on FR, that people decided for Terri that she should die without a jury of her peers finding her guilty of a capital crime. They put her in the category of property so a probate judge could decide her fate along with the silverware and a house. This is the same thinking that goes on every day in Communist dictatorships. You belong to the state and they give and take your rights. If the state gives you rights, they can take them away.
If babies can be classified as a woman's property until they leave the hospital, then everything, including murder can be decided by the mother and government. If you come into a hospital unconscious, wearing a red MAGA cap, the people on scene could decide what treatment you get if they take away your civil rights. By New York deciding a baby can be killed up until birth, fudging the time of birth should be no problem. Just snip the spinal cord with scissors and a problem goes away.
I hope that it does end up in Supreme Court.

Based on the number of Catholics I have personally talked to who vote dem because *The democrats are for the poor*, probably most of them.
The pro-lib/dem Catholics I have personally met vastly outnumber the conservative ones.
And based on Buffalo's sizeable Catholic population and the liberal politics that have infested the city for decades, that only reinforces that observation.
Probably all of them because I have yet to see more than a literal handful of Catholic clergy speak out or deny communion to their parishioners, even the likes of Kennedy and Kerry.
Kennedy got a Catholic funeral.

There are folks out there that would gladly have a human die to save their own skin/life and those of their family members.
There are folks who would kill their own offspring for the same reason.
Same mindset as folks (primarily women at fault, here) who, without any question take a baby as one of their own if they cannot actually birth their own.
Then you also have those people who actually enjoy killing. This becomes law, and look for death after delivery for the sheer enjoyment. And THEN it will get interesting because they will claim it was to be aborted and survived. The courts will then have to ban abortion that close to delivery, or sanction after birth delivery.
Me? I’m thinking they’d allow the after birth deaths.
