The only one I disagree with is #3. I believe the children of a citizen should be considered a citizen outright until they reach maturity. (I am assuming here that plural parents means citizenship is only conferred to children where both parents are citizens at birth).
I prefer the process Japan has: Child of parents from different countries are considered citizen of both until age of maturity (there it’s 19 or 20). At that time must make a choice and surrender the passport they are not retaining.
My reasoning: Should the citizen parent die while the child has yet to reach maturity, say 17, they will lose their citizenship despite having a a legal green card parent and been raised in the States.
All the others are 100% for me. But the child of a citizen should always be a citizen by birth.
