In a series of tweets, Trump chastised Democrats for dismissing his plan, and attempted to assuage immigration hard-liners who likened the administration's latest proposal to amnesty for immigrants already in the country illegally.
"No, Amnesty is not a part of my offer," Trump tweeted. "It is a 3 year extension of DACA. Amnesty will be used only on a much bigger deal, whether on immigration or something else. Likewise there will be no big push to remove the 11,000,000 plus people who are here illegally-but be careful Nancy!"

As I've said before, this AMNESTY is a betrayal. Say what you want but it won't change the facts.
The President is right, and his detractors who spend too much time socializing through the Internet have difficulties with perceiving the real world around them.
What amnesty???? He hasn’t offered amnesty....

Save the semantics for fools, it Amnesty.
* Build the needed barriers and other new security along the southern border.
* Stop the diversity lottery.
* Limit family immigration to spouses and kids.
* Extensive vetting against immigration from foreign enemy nations.
* Decrease work visas.
* Stop the green cards for dollars programs to suit hordes of the most corrupt, foreign rich people.
That’s it except for a few other limitations against third world hordes quickly flooding in. That’s what you’ll get one way or another, and there’s no stopping it.

You of course are correct, sailor76, Trump is offering an amnesty. And somehow now saying he’s not for deporting the 30 million other illegals here and to boot going with the grossly low-ball 11 million number.
I am beginning to think they’ve basically got him compromised, perhaps with threat of prosecuting family members, but they are allowing him to continue with his characteristic bombast for show.
IMO you are correct, the real number of illegals is at least 30 million, yet Trump refuses to do what he promised to do. He has not deported them.

Reagan was EAGER to give up nukes on both sides (which all of his agreements did) if he kept SDI.
SDI was the trump card, just as the Wall is. If the Wall is built, the infection is being addressed by antibiotics. It may take a while, but the patient is slowly cured.
No wall, no cure. It all comes down to the wall, not DACA or anything else.
