PEOPLE will be able to download their “souls” onto microchips, implant it into another body and live forever, a technology expert has claimed.
Richard Skellett, a founder of Digital Anthropologist and an expert for Future of Work, has warned of a future in which British workers have chips inserted underneath their skin.
The process has already been trialled with company BioTeq fitting 150 implants in the UK.
And Sweden-based firm Biohax told the Sunday Telegraph that it is in discussions with several British companies about microchipping.
But as humans and machines become more in-sync, it could open up all sorts of possibilities – including being able to live forever.

This speculation is many decades old.
I’ve seen this idea in some science fiction. The belief is that by downloading all of a person’s memories into a chip, that person can live forever. But the reality is that the person would still die; there would just be a chip containing all of the memories. And if it were placed in some sort of body, its behaviors would immediately start to deviate from those of the real person.
A copy of a thing does not become the original. In this case, it would be a highly imperfect copy.

In a few Black Mirror episode your human consciousness is copied onto a chip where now there are literally TWO of you, you in the real world and you in a chip.
At first you reside in total darkness no senses, no movement but a virtue reality world can be build around you were it would be like living in the Matrix.
You can also be manipulated, time can be shifted, you can be tortured for what feels like eons etc.
Apparently there are no human rights issues in the future for copied souls.
Since there’s no such thing as a soul,
you should be able to get infinitely many on a chip.
What do these people suppose a soul is?
And never in the context of "the wonderful world of tomorrow" either.

The whole electric computing mass know as the brain is probably millennia away from ‘downloading’. If ever.
Definitely will need term limits with this.
