PEOPLE will be able to download their souls onto microchips, implant it into another body and live forever, a technology expert has claimed.
Richard Skellett, a founder of Digital Anthropologist and an expert for Future of Work, has warned of a future in which British workers have chips inserted underneath their skin.
The process has already been trialled with company BioTeq fitting 150 implants in the UK.
And Sweden-based firm Biohax told the Sunday Telegraph that it is in discussions with several British companies about microchipping.
But as humans and machines become more in-sync, it could open up all sorts of possibilities including being able to live forever.

We watched it last night. Definitely missing something.
Even if you did you simply wind up with an AI of your consciousness running, you will still very much be dead
What if you make 10 copies? Have you duplicated your “soul”?
A century ago, writers were experimenting with "stream of consciousness" to convey what people were thinking, but of course it was only a very crude representation of what actually goes on in people's minds. How would computer programmers get it any better?
If you are mapping neural networks and trying to reproduce them in electronic circuitry, how do real world factors like emotion and sense memories get included?
Your artificial intelligence would think, feel you were real and alive. You would transfer at or near the time of your natural death. But unless you could transfer into a healthy young living body it would be torture for most.
However you express your faith and the existence of a soul to you will color your ability to accept this scenario.
Sure your AI can keep running, but you, will still very much be dead...
Speculative fiction. All what if for now.
If your AI is transferred to the body of a human being that is a blank slate,( never mind the moral implications for a minute) would your original body being dead, matter?
Because your consciousness has not left your original body... its only been copied. The AI or new body may have all your memories up to the point of copy but your original self does not stop.
The idea that you leave your body for a new one is impossible..
Your copied consciousness may live on, but your original one will keep going in your dying body and die with it. All you have done is created a copy..
There is no escaping death.
They cant stop alzheimers.... but they can download all of your memories and your very soul on to a chip, then transfer it to a robot. Only millenials and 3 year olds would believe this....
Right there is no escaping death that has been and is a truism.
But picture if you will being attached to a computer the last, oh lets say 10 years of your life. Besides sharing your thoughts it is a mechanism by witch your being can use the machinery to supplement you life to experience new things and solve problems you could never do unaided.
You (and your brain) die but everything that seemingly is YOU (sans your body and brain) exists on this huge thumb drive.
I dont see that YOU would not be there.
Of course the possibilities didnt exist while most famous philosophers throughout history were pondering the human question.
I dont disagree with your statement you are dead. We wont know what such an existence would be like till such time as the experience has happened (if ever)
