Yale University announced through an email that students can now register to identify their gender as non-binary, as a result of policy changes for the school regarding transgender individuals on campus, according to the Yale Daily News.
The new policy is in response to a petition, launched in November, from Yales LGBT community to President Peter Salovey. The petition called on the university to offer more rights for transgender students at Yale. The petition came in the wake of the Department of Health and Human Services' plans to change the rules of Title IX to refer to gender as an unchangeable trait.
Including the nonbinary gender option, according to Dean of Yale College Marvin Chun, is being utilized for Yale and the technology at the school catch up with current understanding and practice of gender, according to the Yale Daily News.

Only 3 out of 78?
Outrageous.
Thanks to bozo we now have mentally, perverted turds now thinking they are normal, and a media telling us they are normal.
The stupidity of the u...with graduate school the worst.
Exactly. Since there are 78 or more recognized gender identities, it is bigoted and hateful for Yale to restrict themselves to just three. They need to go full force for full recognition of ALL gender identities, otherwise they are transphobic and bigoted.
Normal
Abnormal
Not even close to normal
When people turn away from the truth, they will they will be greedy of fables, and take pleasure in them
For the time will come when they will not endure the sound doctrine/teaching but, having itching ears, will heap to themselves teachers ‘after their own lusts’ 2 Timothy 4:3
they can’t figure out whether they’re boys or girls...

Oh for the days ...

... "from a medical and scientific perspective there is no such thing as a "transgendered" person, and terms such as gender expression and gender identity" are at the very least ambiguous, and are more an emotional appeal than a statement of scientific fact"......Expert in the field of mental illness, Prominent psychiatrist Dr. Joseph Berger
Further quoting....."The medical treatment of delusions, psychosis or emotional happiness is not surgery," ...."The so-called confusion about their sexuality that a teenager or adult has is 'purely psychological'.... to provide a surgical alteration to the body of these unfortunate people is to collaborate with a mental disorder rather than to treat it...... As a psychiatrist, I see no reason for people who identify themselves in these ways to have any rights or privileges different from everyone else."
Cosmetic surgery will not change the chromosomes of a human being in that it will not make a man become a woman, capable of menstruating, ovulating, and having children, nor will it make a woman into a man, capable of generating sperm that can unite with an egg or ovum from a woman and fertilize that egg to produce a human child.
(Dr. Berger has been an Examiner in Psychiatry for the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology for twenty five years... is certified as a specialist in Psychiatry by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and is an elected Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association.)

You mentioned gender challenged. I much prefer gender confused.
The sex question on a form was always about disclosing a fact, not about expressing an opinion or selecting an option!
I elected to be female. The Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders would not allow me in their dressing room. Perhaps I should have shaved the mustache? Do I have a discrimination suit? /sarcasm
