Not in the Phillippines. Lol!
That was the crime.
If they had been male hookers, no problemo!
Anyone who was in the Navy would get it ...
Going to be in the Massive Women march this weekend?
SSN Bremerton was decommisioned in JULY of 2018. This article says he was relieved in August 2018...... how could he be relieved from a Sub in mothballs.
Only for the officers. If he had got some for the enlisted this never would have been brought up. Of course, maybe there was a female crewmember on the sub.
If he has a wife, she’s gonna be poor. If he doesn’t have a wife, he can’t afford one anymore. So, how do women gain? Stop with the man shaming. We’re on to these games now and teaching our sons, nephews, and young male co-workers.
You wanted equality, here it comes.
It does sound confusing, doesn’t it? But very little that is happening now makes sense.
If hes married, I hope his wife didnt honor their vows any more than he did.
At ease sailor.
If you loose confidence in the man, why do you send him to an SSBN/SSGN squadron? Those guys aren’t exactly slouches.
All things in moderation.
should be given a medal.
Its not like this was a Secret Service party in Columbia.
Aside from any moral issues (which it seems that most FReepers don't care about any more, even though those morals mostly have good bases behind them, founded on reason and experience that still apply), that's in itself a very relevant & practical comment.
From our side, the practical part of it includes costs of treatment, down time, etc., not to mention costs incurred if the low-life spreads these treatment resistant diseases around when he / she gets home. Plus, we have disappointed the host country we are working with. (Most of Philippines is still fairly conservative in these matters.) From the Philippines' side, they have requested our help in reining in the sex trades, we agreed to try to help, and a person in a position of moderate authority, a Commander of a US sub, surely aware of such wishes, has insulted and disrespected them. This is considerably different than if some drunk seaman hooks up with a prostitute...
He doesn’t have any time. He will have time when he gets out of the military.
Difficult for civilians to comprehend.
Liberty is always provisional.
I absolutely reported a rules infraction when I was over there nearly forty years ago.
Glad I reported it, unfortunately there wasn’t sufficient evidence to do anything about it.
No embarrassment about what I reported and I would do the same today.
Incident happened on “farewell” tour in March of 2018. I would assume the incident & Commander were being investigated through July/ August, so he was probably sort of “on hold” / suspended, until the investigation was completed and he was formally being given the boot. So, until then, maybe he was still technically the Commander of the sub. Ie., in name only. (I’m sure my terminology is all wrong.)
Perhaps one of our Navy vets can clear this up?
Oops, that should be “formally given the boot.”
It’s very late here...
