Former Pennsylvania Congressman Curt Weldon, of Able-Danger fame, worked on legislation to dump military technology to the civilian public safety community.
Weldon knew that we had satellite technology that could identify the fire plume of a missile launch and its exact location, in real time. The thought was to identify and pinpoint an incipient forest fire early using the exact same global technology.
This is not new technology, but what is new(er) are things like Israel's Iron Dome and our own anti-missile defense programs as well as Trump's new Space Cadets/Space Force, MAGA-MTFBWY Make America Great Again - May the Force Be With You.
Will we see deployments of a Trump-initiated, updated NIKE missile network for our nation?
Ill bet the stuff is already up. POTUS is making sure we, the American People and eeeeeeeeeeveryone else knows about it! Then DECLAS and boop, up in the sky! Its a bird! Its a Plane!

Designated Survivor might be far-fetched, but if the dems really just didn’t want to look bad, they could applaud tepidly or something. If they don’t want to look bad, they could certainly modify their behavior in some way.
And if they were truly patriotic Americans, they would back a President regardless of party, on things that were good for the country. Maybe a little like how I (and most of us here) back Flynn, a Democrat. And for that matter, Trump, a former Democrat who, if you wanted to be cynical about it, may have opportunistically become a Republican in order to get elected.
In fact, think about this: Which party has had the most members prosecuted or resigned since Trump was elected? The Republicans. RINOs have been exposed, forced out of office, possibly executed for treason. Any Dems in that category yet? Not that I can recall.
So on one hand, you might think that conservatives have been duped into being taken down and losing power all the while applauding it and hoping that the Dems will get their just deserts at a later time.
Why do I think we have not been duped? My current thinking is that in order to take down the vastly more corrupt D party, Trump will need to point to the fact that he is cleaning house in the R party as well. What better way to do that than to be able to point to the Rs who have been forced to step down? If he just started locking up HRC & 0vomit, the Ds would scream that it was political. But when prosecutions are bi-partisan, and in fact start with evil Rs, then it’s much more difficult to claim that the Trump team is politically motivated. Also having a mix of R & D on the team helps. So glad to see Flynn (D) on the team.

He was interviewed on Freakonomics a few months back, along with a bunch of other CEOs, most of whom seem to have resigned, been removed, died. I am wondering if the interview series was a DS attempt to prop up the reputations of these people. It seems very oddly coincidental that all or nearly all of them are no longer CEOs.
It occurs to me that the filibustering of judges is spoken of as some kind of hallowed rule, but the fact is nobody established the principle of filibustering judges they didn’t like until the dmocrats did it during the W Booosh administration and then claimed it was a ‘nuclear option’ to try to change the rules. So it’s not a particularly enshrined thing.
