3:55 PM -- The first photo of Jayme has surfaced ... showing her smiling with her aunt and godmother, Jennifer Naiberg Smith. As we told you ... they were reunited this afternoon at the hospital where Jayme was being evaluated.
1:57 PM -- Officials say cops recovered a shotgun consistent with what was used at the scene of the homicide. Cops say Patterson -- who shaved his head after allegedly killing Jayme's parents to hide from cops -- shot the door open.
Cops say Patterson had a small connection to Jayme's parents -- working at the same turkey processing plant as them for one day three years ago -- and he intentionally went looking for her. Cops say it's unclear right now why Patterson targeted Jayme. Patterson will make his first court appearance Monday in Barron County court.

ping...more info on Jayme Closs.
I’m really perplexed on why the kidnapper is still breathing. 200 years ago, this asshole would have been hanged and his body dragged thru the streets..
Let him out in the general population when he goes to prison.
Lots of info in the afternoon presser. I wonder why they stuck with their claim that the door to the Closs home was kicked in, until today
If the door was breached with a shotgun, would it not be obvious?
The cops will still have to check her social media, cell phone etc. to see if this young girl knew her “kidnapper” before she was “abducted”. Sadly we live in strange times.
That is called Tennessee Justice.
Yep, that is one of the first thing I was wondering, we will also never know the full story. It is just strange for me that a guy with no record ever, one days gets up and goes a few houses down and kills two people and kidnaps a little girl.
Was probably a combo of both since the shotgun wouldn’t have done a clean job of it.
I read in another article that said the suspect was living with his siblings. That their parents had left.
The police said at a news conference that the suspect didn’t have a social media presence.
I read that as well...him living with siblings.
No, be a society with brass..... and look him in the eyes and execute him.
only sniveling sissies would let prisoners do the work that honest men and women need to do.
Quote from the presser...
“The door was NOT kicked in.”
First thing I thought of he knew her on web contact with her.
You have a good point!
One does normally reveal all evidence to the public for many reasons.
As the criminal complaint is revealed more well come out.
It helps to have some facts not disclosed to the public that can be used to establish if someone has knowledge about the crime that could only come from being there.
Yep. Thought about that right after posting.
