Today's Cryptogram
1/09/2019 | Nikos1121

Today's Cryptogram:

ZFYV NWMKXZP DVFD C AMXBZO KZYFPZ F WRXZ GVCYV AZWBZO FLDZWGFWOA DM AMXBZ MDVZW NWMKXZPA. WZJZ OZAYFWDZA

We have a 4 letter word with the 1st and 4th letters the same, and both single letter words represented.

Then the second and last words are the same, except for the last letter, which should give you your 5th letter.

This should help you decipher several words right out of the gate.

Word number nine, 2nd and 5th letter the same, is frequently seen in these puzzles.

Anything under 4 minutes would be a good score today, but I think we might have some people breaking 2 minutes. Break a leg!

Solution to our last puzzle is in the first reply below.

Please don’t post a “spoiler” solution in the general posting, but you can certainly post it in my private reply.

Feel free to offer the group tips on how you solve these.

You can find this little fun word game, to combat early dementia and senility in us baby boomers, in several daily publications, unfortunately they are copyrighted so we can't use them here. So, we're just going to make up our own.

The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example:

AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram)

Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated.

Send me a private reply if you need a hint for today’s Cryptogram.

If you need a little help you can copy the cryptogram and paste it here:

http://www.hjkeen.net/htoys/cryptogm.htm

It’s easier to work on it without having to use your pencil.

Let me know if you want on or off our Cryptogram Ping List, (currently at 37!)

Solution to our last puzzle:

*** I DO NOT FEEL OBLIGED TO BELIEVE THAT THE SAME GOD WHO HAS ENDOWED US WITH SENSE, REASON, AND INTELLECT HAS INTENDED US TO FORGO THEIR USE. GALILEO HIS IS THE SOLUTION***

Much more convenient.

Here’s a puzzle: What happened to the criminal referral of Andrew McCabe, former right hand man of James Comey? A grand jury was impaneled in September 2018.

Are you talking about the link to Hal? Only problem is the reader would have to copy and paste rather than just click the link. Is there some way to post it in the body so it stands out and can simply be clicked?

Are you interested in being on our CG Pint List? :-)

If you put it on a separate line wont it turn into a link? IDK.

I thought it could but I have been wrong...

There is no indication that there is a McCabe grand jury. US attorneys retain prosecutorial discretion even if there is an IG referral.

Use HTML in your post like this:

This is a link:<BR>
<A href=http://www.google.com>HAL</A><BR>
That is all.<BR>

It will come out like this:

This is a link:
HAL
That is all.

Would love to be on the ping list. Tried this one, my first, and got it. Don’t ask me about the timing though.
