I’d like to see someone ask Saban if the term should move from pulling a Clemson to pulling an Alabama when they choke.
“I just had a feeling that I didn’t do a very good job ...”
Whether winning or losing past games , I’ve admired Sabin summing up team’s performance by saying; “everyone did or didn’t do what they’re supposed to do”. No brag or excuse - just fact. In this instance, coach is first to stand up for his share of licks.
Roll Tide
Who cares. Football or sports in general both college and pro is the modern day opioid for the masses.

I guess Clemson did learn a thing or two from the OU Game last week.
Trevor Lawrence is a pretty good quarterback. When a good quarterback gets hot, things happen. Credit the Clemson defense and the offensive line.

(I HATE Saban.)
It didn’t help that AL threw two interceptions right from the start.
This game damages Saban’s and Alabama’s reputation, but still the greatest coach and overall program in college football history and still at the top. Kudos to Clemson, but that program will fall back over time — and perhaps immediately after Dabo S succeeds Saban as AL head coach.
The big question of the night has to do with ratings. Ticket prices were stunningly bad, bad, bad; and if TV ratings were down even a bit there is trouble for the CFP. The NCAA now enters the half-way point of the current 12-year contract, and what we may see is that the Rose Bowl had more ticket sales and bigger audiences than the national championship game. I am a B1G fan and do not want the CFP renewed, whether it is 4 games or 8. The B1G and Pac12 together have most of the flagship state universities and cover the biggest markets and most of the US. I want them to exit the NCAA altogether, go back to having their conference champions meet in the Rose Bowl, and generally thumb their noses at the college football establishment. I’m not even suggesting that they play the same caliber football as the SEC. I just have no idea why they would sign up for a deal that is not in their financial, academic, or overall best interest.
Yep. Cannot wait to hear Finebaum today. Great day to be a Clemson Tiger!
The entire State of Alabama will be like a COPS episode the next 2 weeks.
I just hope Tua’s abusive dad doesn’t beat the crap out of him. I hope Saban has had a heart to heart with that moron father.
Saban said. “I never really ever got comfortable with what we needed to do to win this game.”
...
Translation. Clemson is a really good team and deserved to win. Saban wasn’t surprised. When he went for it on fourth down in the first half from deep in his own territory I knew that he knew he was in trouble.
Some days the chicken, some days the feathers
You didn't Coach. When you sat on the ball with 40 secs left in the half, two time outs and one of the best quarterbacks to ever wear Crimson is the exact moment you gave up.
Sabin with 218 wins ranks 56th in coaches with over 200 career wins.
But far from the top winner at 489 wins.

Mistake #1: He didn’t start Jalen Hurts under center.
You don’t win a national championship when you give up two turnovers for scores and also get inside the 25 three times without putting the ball in the end zone.
LoL, look at all the Clemson fanbois......where were you all last year? Oh wait, my bad, I know where..... ^^
I think the Kick 6 was much more humiliating and stinging.
