A student has died after falling from cliffs in Ireland while reportedly taking a selfie.
The man in his 20s fell from the Cliffs of Moher in County Clare, in the west of the country.
He was studying in Dublin and Irish media say he was an Indian national.
Police are treating it as a "tragic accident" amid reports he slipped while taking the selfie on Friday afternoon.
A police spokesman said: "The alarm was raised shortly after 3pm when a man was seen falling from the cliff edge."
His body was later recovered by the coastguard based at Doolin and taken to University Hospital Limerick for a post-mortem examination.
The cliffs are one of Ireland's most popular tourist attractions and at the highest point are 214m (702ft).

The day we were at the Cliffs of Moher, it was a little foggy, so visibility wasn't that great.
The once was an Indian taking a selfie,
Who fell from The Cliffs of Insanity,
He stopped with a SPLAT
And that was that!
He must have had bats in his belfry!
I’ve been there. They are so terrifying, I don’t know how anyone can walk close enough to fall. I had to crawl to the edge on my belly and peer over. My legs flatly refused to hold me up.
Cave divers are nuts!
“can fly in flimsy light planes and it doesnt bother me. But get me near the edge of a cliff with nothing in front of me and I back away.”
Same here. I’m ok until a few feet away; closer than that I need to be sitting down, or on hands and knees or lying down on stomach peering over edge. Then I like the experience.
There is a well-defined path and the edge is roped off with warning signs everywhere. If you want to step on the other side of that rope, you’re on your own.
I’ve been there. You have to be careful. You could fall off! Best to take a selfie if you are tired of living, but otherwise, just stick to the marked areas.
Never does...It’s that 1000G+ sudden stop of impact that does the trick...
I’ve seen woyse.
Trump’s fault due to the government shutdown....oh....wait.....fools fall off high places...
Any theory on why that would be the case?
“I walked around the grounds, and got some nice pictures of the place, and Blarney House.”
Me, too! It was a beautiful day when we were there, so it was nice to walk around and take pictures (and shop!) Didn’t want to walk up all those steps either!
Hah! Love it!
That most certainly was not there in the seventies. I wonder if anyone has ever sued. How do you sue a cliff?
