Kinda makes me glad I live in Michigan and it's now winter........well, kinda.
Makes me wonder if he/she lives in a hut in the "outback".........
Every room in the house has an ample supply of Black House spiders, Wolf spiders, Daddy Long-Legs & huntsmen (et al). If a fly does manage to get into the house I don't even bother swatting it -- within 15 minutes or so, one of my eight-legged buddies will be feasting on it.
Really, fear of spiders in Australia is not at all irrational.

Yes - we’re in cold country too. One of the few benefits: most of the “bugs” are dormant for half of the year.
I don’t mind the occasional spider - as long as they stay clear of the bedrooms.
“The Mist” in my opinion, had a gut wrenching ending.
Not sure I remember “Open Water” Did it have a couple adventure diving in “Open Water”?

I like that very last scene in the video, showing her care free, and dancing away in a nightclub after Mr. Spider’s visit. Most of us would still be in a state of shock, bordering on catatonic.
I totally get the Australian man's reaction about spiders. Anything up to and including bombing runs are a perfectly valid response.
I’ve suddenly lost all desire to ever visit Australia.
My WAG is that it stands for Aboriginal Australian. Every continent that speaks English has to have AA’s.
