That Movie was probably the worst telling of Mary Queen of Scots story that I’ve ever seen...and I’ve seen many. Ridiculous on many levels, including, as you mention, bringing 21st century SJW and LBJTQ (or whatever the Hell the letters are) mores into 16th century Britain.
