Patrick Mahomes made history Sunday when he became the second NFL player to ever throw for 50 touchdowns and 5,000 passing yards in a single season.
The only other player to have 50 touchdowns and more than 5,000 passing yards in a year is Peyton Manning, who did so at age 37 in 2013.

If ESPN introduced a racial angle on that bit of news, shame on them. In this 21st century, race should no longer be a criteria to judge anything or anyone.
Go Meritocracy! The only path to greatness.
I didn´t think normal people watched the NFL anymore. I was surprised to find a thread about the NFL that was actually about the game. Do they still have a Superbowl and cheerleaders?
Ok. Then get off a thread about the NFL.
Talk about excitement? When was the last time you saw semi-professional bowling on T.V. or roller derby even...
Used to be 14 games, and defense had many fewer rules. Note that using modern qb stat analysis, the great qbs of the past rank quite well.
Yes. I saw him, though, with his Texas Tech team play ASU and the Sun Devils bottled him up.
And Roger Staubach, who mastered the mixture of run and pass.
That was some deal. Smith is one of those guys who always looks good but never seems to win like he should. Kind of like Kirk Cousins. Puts up great numbers, but at the end of the year his teams sit.
Marvin Lewis was horrible. A white coach would have been fired 5 years ago.
Not really a comparison. For example, I watched the 1970 NFC Championship Game between Dallas and SF.
Craig Morton won the game throwing 14 passes, completing 8. It was Duane Thomas left, Duane Thomas right, Duane Thomas up the middle.
If you get the chance, watch some of his games when he was at Texas Tech. Damn good QB.
He was a short stop for Texas Tech. That is why sometimes when he passes he will throw across his body like he is trying to complete a double play.

Would this play be illegal today? I remember that they had a thing about going for his previously injured left leg. #12 Joe Namath tries to make a blocking tackle on a fumble.
.
They have someone better
No bets on surviving the 2nd round.
We’ll see. Next year? Or 2098?
It gives them time to place an Amazon Prime order.
“Alexa, send me an NFL defense.”
