Conservative writer for the Federalist and frequent guest on Fox News has passed away at 26 from the Swine Flu.
H1N1 is the worst. I thought I was perfectly healthy and 3 days in, I was next to dead. Keep up your vitamin d levels. It can take weeks to get your bloodstream up to a good level. Everyone reading this. Take 5000 iu today and keep doing it (unless you already do).
And what conceivable connection does that have to do with contracting a strain of flu known to be dangerous to a young adult of her age?
She was sick. She was diagnosed with H1N1 and possibly meningitis as well. Both can kill young adults. Her death is tragic, not fodder for some goofball conspiracy theory.
Funny things happen to conservatives causing them to die at early ages. Where the odds are 0.01% or so over 10 years, I start to wonder.
“Wonder if Bre had a flu shot.”
It takes about two weeks for the shot to build up your immunity. If she was exposed before or during that two week period she would still get the flu.
And getting the vaccine isn’t a 100% guarantee that you won’t get sick. The vaccine is 40-60% effective for most flus, but around 65% effective against the H1N1 she was diagnosed with.
A lot of the way that the vaccine works is through “herd immunity”. It works often enough that it breaks the chain of transmission. So you might get pockets of flu, but it prevents a widespread pandemic like 1918.
I am suspicious of her specific situation, but generally, you make a good point.
My maternal grandmother nearly died of flu in 1918 (while waiting for her husband to return with three purple hearts, and possibly without one arm).
Her breathing passageway was almost completely shut. They saved her life by pouring Vick’s Vapo-Rub directly down her throat.
P.S. To her surprise, the medics found a way to save his arm. He only lost a couple of fingers. He was the sole survivor of his artillery platoon.

Is it not reassuring to know that the UniParty RINOpublicans know most of the evil things done to the electorate, and do not care? /r
Wow, what a story. Or several stories in one!
Uh-Oh... another Seth Rich... Can’t be.
Where would she p/u that H1N1 Flu?
Don’t get Swine Flu at the local butcher shop.
