The former controller of Continental BMW in Connecticut used the stolen funds for travel, plastic surgery, and a $50,000 Ford Mustang.
Vanessa Vence-Small, the former controller of Continental BMW in Darien Connecticut, has been accused of embezzling $1.1 million from the successful, family-owned car dealership. Vence-Small is now facing 30 months in prison courtesy of the U.S. District Court in New Haven, Connecticut after pleading guilty of wire fraud, Automotive News reports.
In order to supplement her $150,000 yearly income, the former controller cooked the books to the tune of over a million bucks over the course of 2.5 years. Allegedly she dropped over $50,000 on a new Ford Mustang, which was later forfeited and valued at just $28,840, and spent the rest of her stolen money on things like lavish travels around the globe, cosmetic surgery, and some landscaping and remodeling for her house.

Oh yeah. She is so "Not Guilty"
To save tax payer dollars I volunteer to place her under house arrest for 30 months.
Not guilty? Meh. Let’s see how “not guilty” she is in 10 - 15 years when the rest of her naturally ages and her plastic parts don’t.
“It appears that Vence-Small is a gifted liar,...”
She’s also “gifted” from the cosmetic surgery, it appears.
She’ll get out in 30 mos., or less, and within a few years be right back in the hoosegow for the same thing. She’ll just figure she won’t get caught THIS TIME.
Only 2 1/2 years?
Is paying back embezzled money part of such a light sentence I hope?
Pinging you to dish out punishment
Why do so many blondes darken their roots?
Artificial intelligence.
As the controller or money manager, she knows how to steal money.
Any business should have regular audits. Trust but verify. The owners trusted her too much. Or perhaps auditors were incompetent and didn’t uncover things she was doing.
She will probably get a similar job in the future, as many small businesses do not do background checks on new hires.
A friend’s auto dealership was taken for $4.1 million in very similar scenario

Geez, can’t make ends meet on $150K a year. What a tough life she had...
Sarcasm.
She worked for BMW and had a Mustang???
Didn’t like her own brand?
“To save tax payer dollars I volunteer to place her under house arrest for 30 months.”
She has a history. It could cost you a fortune!

Is reading the article a good thing?
"...cant make ends meet on $150,000..."
Chances are you (anyone) would be miserable with her, be careful what you wish for....
You’ve been a naughty girl.
I see “escort” in her future. Hard to get a job, sign a lease, etc, etc, with a prison record.
