Same here in Tri-Cities. Must be the Centurylink outage. Why do they wait until 11:30 to send the emergency-mode text with the beeps?
Also here in Skamania (Columbia Gorge). Centurylink has been having trouble all day.
I’m listening to the police scanner and there is no indication of 911 or dispatch problems here.
The alert tones scared the crap out of me.

Now there’s an emergency alert for Kitsap county that was just announced on KOMO radio.
911 outage.
Phone beeping again.
Same message.
Got the alert in Southeast King county.
Probably Russians...Trump Russians.

Not just Washington. Century link is having some kind of nation wide internet problem that is affecting phone service.
Recieved an emergency notification here near Bellevue, WA on my land line but not my cell phone.

Whats gives is E911 cut over to VOIP and is 100% dependent on the internet and those outages affect many 911 systems at a time vs the old local land line T1 systems that were all independent of each other

The outage began on Thursday morning and appears to remain unresolved.
“We are seeing good progress, but our service restoration work is not complete,” CenturyLink tweeted Friday morning. “Our teams are continuing their efforts to resolve these issues and we will continue to provide updates throughout the day.”
