Kasich leaves office in a few days. the legislation plans to follow through with the same votes after the start of the new administration. Dewine has said he will sign the bill.

Good on Dewine. I always liked him. Not the most inspirational/charismatic operator out there, but I have found him to be reliable overall. Here’s what I said about Kasich on another thread:

Geez, Kasich has just weirded out.

I am a Buckeye temporarily in GA due to work. It’s disturbing to me how whacked he’s become...180 degrees out-of-phase with how he operated in the 90s pretty much being a fiscal PITA to Clinton then. And Kasich was my rep. Very proud of him...then.

Indications of him going goofoid occurred before I left Ohio when he nearly broke a leg running to impose a severance tax on the gas and oil being extracted from the eastern part of the state. Why would he pee on a golden goose like that? Not the supply-sider he once was.

Trying to peg the year. Doesn’t matter...long story but had the occasion to work an agriculture fundraiser event. Promotion of Ohio farm products. Kasich was there. Seemed quite aloof to me and preoccupied about something. Found it to be odd.

I think that “something” may turn out to be Kasich’s relationship with Morning Joe and Gary Condit back in the day.

That’s great. Kaisch is such a jerk-used to wear a good guy disguise.
