A 7-year-old Ont. boy might have just added himself to next years naughty list after calling 911 for receiving snow pants as a Christmas gift.
Ontario Provincial Police Sgt. Kerry Schmidt -- who tweeted the incident -- said the call was placed in the early evening on Dec. 25.
He said the boy was upset with his present and wanted the police to help.
In a telephone interview on Wednesday, Schmidt told CTVNews.ca that the incident is "an awareness and educational moment" that prompts another reminder for parents and caregivers to talk to children about making 911 calls.

The idea of you implying that kids should get no clothing because clothing should be a gift is interesting to me as well. So perhaps parents should go out and get the three gifts that Yeshua received when He was born. Would that be satisfactory to you?

My 11 year old grandson only asked for clothes for Christmas. Hes hooked on a particular brand and thats what he wanted and what he got. He was a happy camper.
I don’t blame the kid for being upset...it’s Canada...he probably has a million pair of snow pants.
(Shudders) They don't come back from the maple syrup mines.
Every now and then they let one go to spread the horror, as a warning to others :)
What I see on TV adverts regarding buy buy buy esp. car sales is kind of disgusting and covers up what the whole thing about Christmas really is.
It’s Canada. You’re going to be happy to have the snow pants, kid. Trust me on that.
Got lots of clothes at Christmas as a kid. Was I happy? No. But the reason was we didn’t have a lot of money to waste on toys.....the money the money was to be spent as a gift it had to go to much needed clothing or we would have been running around naked in school.
