Not long after making headlines for taking aim at the “old, white men” of the NFL and accusing them of having a “slave mentality”, LeBron James has caused another stir, this time on social media.
The NBA icon posted a photo of himself on Instagram captioned with lyrics from a song by American rapper 21 Savage, writing: “We getting that Jewish money. Everything is Kosher.” The LA Lakers star soon found himself under heavy fire for perpetuating a stereotype about Jewish people.
Host of YouTube show Pittsburgh Sports Live Mike J. Asti wrote on Twitter: “Current NBA Commissioner Adam Silver is Jewish. Former NBA Commissioner David Stern is Jewish. He wouldn’t appreciate it if they quoted offensive lyrics about African-Americans. There can’t be a double standard. Very surprising LeBron would be this dumb.”

What you all must know is that he’s the King Of L.A. now that he signed for the L.A. Lakers for the next 4 seasons. I stopped watching Lakers Basketball after Kobe retired. He’s also got TV shows + development deals and a Full blown publicity machine for all of that. Owns a home in Ritzy Brentwood Ca. + Has moved his entire family here as of last year. This big mouth isn’t going anywhere, get used to it. He’s the new King of L.A Politics too. He’s a 100% bore to me.
James never went to College, not that he wouldn’t have been shuffled through to the NBA. What’s worst, he was shuffled through High School. He is not a smart man, his hired help MIGHT be, but they were on vacation this week.
As a demographic group jewish people are generally more financially well off, compared to other demogrpahic groups.

If anyone cares to read them the lyrics . Clearly there was a reason chose that particular phrase to highlight the profanity and violence of the song. However it raises a question of the type of personality which not only appreciates but publicly advance a song like this. I'm not a basketball fan, but I'd suggest neither antisemitism nor gangbanging (the song topic) paints the sport in a very good light.
