"Happy Festivus" is the traditional greeting of Festivus, a holiday featured in the Season 9 episode of Seinfeld named "The Strike", which first aired on December 18, 1997. Since then, many people have been inspired by this zany, offbeat Seinfeld holiday and now celebrate Festivus as any other holiday.
According to the Seinfeld model, Festivus is celebrated on December 23rd.

This is the perfect thread for Laz' Christmas tree guy photo.
And then that guy can come air his grievances upon him.

The linked story doesn’t say, but I always thought the Festivus episode was satire directed at the fake holiday of Kwanzaa, which was a made-up combination of Christmas + Hanukkah, and sold to the gullible as some sort of tradition that originated on the African continent.

I’ve never heard that. But I wouldn’t be surprised if it were true. Seinfeld would sometimes mock PC dogma...and always in a sly way.
And if it is true, I hope that no one tells the Left. Because then Jerry Seinfeld would become an unperson, just like Roseanne is. And that Festivus episode would be pulled from Amazon.
Maybe some lefties would even publicly burn copies of it.
