Louis C.K., Ricky Gervais, And Chris Rock Toss Around N-Word In Resurfaced Video

The Twitterverse has some questions about a resurfaced video in which Louis C.K. and Chris Rock casually drop the N-word.

A scene from HBO’s 2011 unscripted comedy talk show “Talking Funny” has recently caught the attention of people online. The clip in question features C.K. and Rock having a conversation with fellow comedians Jerry Seinfeld and Ricky Gervais.

Rock told Seinfeld and Gervais how C.K. is “the blackest white guy I know.” C.K. responded by asking Rock, “you’re saying I’m a n****r?”

“Yes,” Rock replied. “You are the n****r-est white man I have ever [met].” Gervais was thoroughly amused by the whole conversation, but Seinfeld was visibly uncomfortable. “We say n****ger on stage,” C.K. explained, pointing at Rock and himself. “You guys don’t.”

“Who says n****ger onstage? We don’t,” Gervais said of himself and Seinfeld. “You just did,” Seinfeld obviously pointed out. “You’ve found the humour of it,” Seinfeld told C.K. “I haven’t, nor do I seek it.”

Marketing consultant Frederick Joseph was appalled by the conversation he witnessed. “So Chris Rock just said Louis C.K. is a white “n****r” he and Ricky Gervais not only agreed but preceded to say n****r about five times,” Joseph tweeted on Saturday. “Jerry Seinfeld is the only one who had an issue. Chris Rock, you should be ashamed, all that fame and you’re still shucking and jiving?”

I find it amazing and wonderful that Seinfeld watched the comedy great routines as a child and wished to create the same. AND DID IT. So many of the famous Seinfeld scenes can be watched time and time again with the same laughs. He truly created amazing comedic routines himself, just like he’d always dreamed of doing.

I have no idea what the “office” is. I do not watch TV, do not own one.

Do you go to comedy clubs or have an affection for stand up comedy? If so, then you must be one of the only people in the world that likes stand up but disdains TV.

If not, then why comment on a thread involving people you have no idea about?

Seems like a bigger waste of time than actually watching a TV program.

Is there a black comedian who doesn’t use the n word?

Normally I wouldn’t care, but most of these guys are flaming lefties or complicit so they should get their just desserts.

Recommended. Rock speaks about how black people feel about ‘niggers’.

Funny, and truthful...

His “Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee” is an excellent show, despite how leftist so many of the comedians are, and showcases his intellect, thoughtfulness and old-style comedic professionalism. It reminds me that I can completely disagree with someone’s politics and still have respect for that person.

My age, I suppose, but no idea who these characters are, or who gives a Shiite about them.

The world feels much the same about you.

It isn't hard to notice how the audience agrees with him.

If you have XM in your car you can listen to black comics tearing it up all day long...in fact while driving last night I listened to a comic whose main joke was how he had gone about living near, hanging with, and working with blacks until they started calling him nigger, and eventually they voted to allow him to call them the same.

He had to be careful though, so as not to mix up faces: “Jamal, aren’t you Jamal, you voted on me wait wait!!”

Careful, it appears there are a lot of TV addicts hereabouts that will attack you for goring their sacred cow.

Because, my slow thinking FRiend, someone put those names in a thread title. They made no sense to me, so I clicked on the thread to see what it was what? Do I need permission from the TV addicts to do that?

How was I supposed to know it was about TV from the title?

You and several others seem to have a sensitive spot about anyone casting aspersions about TV watching, so maybe go watch some more TV to feel better.

I couldn't care less whether or not you watch TV. I just asked a simple question and what I received in return was an incorrect assumption followed by further virtue signaling.

If conservatism has anything to do with conserving the best of the past, then that should include the best art as well.

This used to consist mostly of writings, paintings, sculptures, and music. Now it includes photography, movies and TV programs.

Yes most movies and TV programs, like most music, paintings, sculptures and writings are either utter garbage or mere pandering to the masses. However, there are exceptions that deserve our consideration and respect.

To completely write off entire forms of art and communication as worthless is just not conservative.
