So, I kept hitting redial and suddenly the phone rings and rings. Then Mr. Snerdly picks up and says, please hold. So about a minute later he comes back on and says "what would you like to ask Rush?" So I said that perhaps the president is doing a head fake.
"Head fake?" he asks. I said yes, didn't Rush say the other day that he isn't getting a penny for the wall but he has over $10 billion to spend south of the border? Maybe he has made a deal with the new administration where they'll build the wall on their side and keep the money over what it costs them. It kills two birds with one stone, building the wall and getting Mexico to pay for it. And he avoids the EPA mess, court challenges and Eminent Domain issues.
He asks me my name and location and puts me on hold.
About an hour later Rush is reporting that Ryan was just at the microphone about the wall. Rush goes to the phones and the first caller is Wendy. Snerdly comes back on to tell me that I'm next...
I played pool with Harry Chapin and partied with Cheech and Chong.....way before FR.....
I partied with Lynyrd Skynyrd before their crash.................
For real? I actually did play pool with Chapin and party with Cheech and Chong (mostly Cheech because Chong was upstairs where the non-alcoholic mood modifiers were for most of it).
I’m from Jacksonville, Florida in the late 60’s early 70’s. They were a local band and they used to play local spots.
Went into the Marine Corps at 18.
Went to see Lynyrd Skynyrd in 76(?) at an open stadium concert in Raleigh, NC with 3 of my Marine buddies.
After their set, their drummer at the time, Artimis Pyle, sought US out after seeing us in the crowd, because HE WAS AN EX-MARINE!

Anyways, he saw us ‘partying’ and invited us back to their hotel after the show.
We went to see them the next week in Myrtle Beach and did it again!..............
