Further proof of the utter dearth of ideas in what was once the entertainment capital of the world.

Anything to prevent reporting that Streep has kept viewers (including myself) away.

Would have otherwise loved to have seen Dick Van Dyke again.

I enjoyed the original, but that was over half a century ago.
Maybe the world has changed too much to embrace a story like this. England was seen differently back then, as a far bigger influence compared to right now.

Some kids may be too hooked on their latest CGI-Super Hero movies; wall to wall high impact, fast paced, light on dialog and character development, gratuitously violent and raunchy where it isn’t necessary. Even current movies about Alvin and The Chipmunks has scenes of flirting and arousal. Innocent looking, yes, but distracting from the story.

My wife and I took our 1st grade granddaughter to the 10am show this morning. We all enjoyed it, music & story. Both Dick Van Dyke & Angela Lansbury sparkled in their roles. Emily Blunt’s Mary Poppins didn’t lose a step from Julie Andrew’s performance. The children were also well-cast & made a believable transition from doubters to converts of the impossible becoming possible.

I hesitate to see it because of Lin-Manuel Miranda. That leftist wouldn’t want my conservative money.

I have no opinion on a film I haven't seen.

Haven't seen it and I won't be paying to see it.

I might watch it if it pops up on broadcast tv in a few years.

I do have a problem with Lin Manuel Miranda.

He's a Hispanic supremacists who hates White Americans.

He blamed Trump for the problems in Puerto Rico after the hurricane among other things.

I don't like him at all.

But Rotten Tomatoes has “Mary Poppins Returns” at a low 78.

A Rotten tomatoes score of 78 is not low.

Remakes of classics never work. Next they’ll try to remake Casablanca.

When I saw that Dick van Dyke was in it, I actually wanted to see the film.

But then again it would be a pirated copy, so not like I would add to the box office receipts.

I’m still mad they replaced Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride and ruined the Tiki room with snark.

Rotten Tomatoes has always confused me. The title alone makes me thing of something I don’t value, don’t want and don’t pay any attention to. I’m sure I missed the ‘joke’ of the title.

I don’t know about the movie but the trailer I saw was awful and did not seem to fit the spirit of the story.

Then again, my Dad used to force all of us to watch the original with him every year, for reasons he never explained.

So everything is political, but if a leftist rag trashes it, it must be good.

Sounds like it’s lacking in CGI effects, lots of gratuitous killing, same sex interracial relationships and SJWs.

Can’t have a winning movie without at least one of those four key elements nowadays.

I’m taking the grandkids to see it during Christmas vacation. This is finally a family movie that has real people in it. Tired of animated movies..
Looking forward to it. I’m wondering what kids would have been able to go on a school day yesterday.
