He worked on the Mars rover. That makes the people who stole from him rover Rober robbers.

This guy could really hurt these thieves if he wanted to. They should consider themselves lucky.

It’s not worth my time to pay their salaries. He should run for mayor and fire them, like Sonny Bono did.

I could leave a package on my doorstep for a year and no one would touch it. Then again, I don’t live in Chicago.

I did something like this 20 years ago with my deer stand. It was a plastic 35mm film case filled with orange paint and powered by a 12 gauge shotgun shell with the shot removed.
My neighbor, who leased his land for deer hunting, modified his briefing to hunters about crossing fences by removing the "wink and nod" and adding "crazy son of a bitch".
Note to BATF: The alleged device was destroyed by chop saw and act/oxy torch many years ago.

I congratulate Mr. Rober for his ingenuity but makes himself a target should the thieves or their posse return to address from whence they stole the package. An exploding package rather than a glitter fart package would negate my concerns, however.

Entertaining video but c'mon folks, it does seem 100% staged and I believe the "robbers" were actors in on it.
With 25 million hits and counting, they are in for a nice payday. YouTube pays out an average of $2,000 in ad-revenue sharing for every million hits so they are up to at least $50,000 already. That will pay for the four iPhones used and a whole lot of other stuff.

If I had his skills, my prank box wouldn’t be so harmless; they’d be splattered with something that would be difficult to get off of their clothes and their skin.
He ought to get the production cost of his idea down, devize different size and style containers, and offer his prank boxes for sale to folks whose neighborhood is plagued with such thefts.
