I get these pop ups all the time especially off sites click links like dredge and facebook. You would think that Apple would have a work around to stop these pop up. You wonder what the folks who program this spam can see on your phone.
That is very troubling.

Anyone getting all sorts of annoying “you have been selected to win a gift card” pop ups on Safari since their last iPhone update I got some of those too. . . and investigated them. They are all traced back to an ad in the Google ad rotation which has a multiple page replacement script and no way out except closing the damn browser tab. It’s not a Safari issue, and I can’t find a way to block it without running an ad blocker. The ad pops in on web pages that won’t allow entry with an ad blocker running.
