Donald Trump called for courts to test NBC and Saturday Night Live in a fiery tweet on Sunday that followed the final airing of the sketch show until the New Year.
SNL wrapped up a year of political humor directed at the Trump administration with a parody of the Christmas movie Its a Wonderful Life, in which it posited a world wherein Donald Trump, played by Alec Baldwin, was never elected president of the United States.
The sketch, which featured returning guest stars Ben Stiller as Michael Cohen, Robert De Niro as Robert Mueller and Matt Damon as Brett Kavanaugh, showed Trump being led through a Christmas party in a world where Hillary Clinton became president. As each person from his administration approaches, Trump learns that him not being president worked out for the benefit of everyone. For example, the sketch suggested that he and Melania got a divorce and remarried others, Kavanaugh never made it onto the Supreme Court and Mueller was able to spend more time with his kids instead of having to investigate some idiot for treason.
Trump responded to the sketch on Sunday morning by jabbing both the sketch show and NBC.

How can anyone watch SNL? Why would they do that?
Sometimes you’re the last to realize you’re just not funny. But I have to admit, I am laughing non-stop at the concept of Hillary Clinton being a good president. Good for you SNL, that’s no ordinary joke. In fact, I think it soros high above the ordinary.
The networks broadcast of the Wisconsin vs. Michigan game scored a 1.6 average rating in the adults 18-49 demo with 5.57 million viewers, up five-tenths from ABCs NCAA broadcast from a week ago. CBS 48 Hours was the only other original primetime show of the night, and held steady with a 0.6 for the second week in a row.
In late-night, the Seth Meyers-hosted episode of Saturday Night Live was down slightly in the adults 18-49 demo, falling from its previous 1.7 to a 1.5.

2.5 million viewers for this episode back in October. Lowest rated show on Saturday night.
Agreed. I like him fighting back but in some of these instances, like SNL or low-rated Morning Joe they’re not worthy of any attention from the office of President. If anything, just address them derisively “Delusional Dems still in fantasy land and denial over losing! Keep dreaming” etc
Going on a rant about potentially bringing a legal case against them just gives them a sense of way too much power. And in the eyes of the average braindead ham n egger out there, it makes Trump look thin skinned and petty, unfortunately
Who the heck watches this much less finds it entertaining?!

Interesting idea.
I’ve noticed that it’s mostly women who object to Trump confronting the Demonrats in his tweets. I chalk it up to women not liking confrontation.
“The President is exactly right and it needs to be said. The media make in kind campaign contributions to rats every hour of every day. There should be consequences.”
We are at war, and President Trump is the target of the enemy. However, the war must be conducted in the courts and will not be won until media outlets are sued and persons in the media are prosecuted for opposing this President.
I guess in general women dont like confrontation but I really like Trump going after the obvious crimes of the likes of Hillary and the rest of them. Calling out the horrible media is good too, just not every single thing
There was a new accusation against Weinstein, so someone at NBC had to try to change the subject. Lorne should be thrown down an elevator shaft, or off the top of 30 Rock directly into a construction dumpster full of broken glass, if either happened, NBC could start to right the ship.
