Donald J. Trump on Twitter: "The pathetic and dishonest Weekly Standard, run by failed prognosticator Bill Kristol (who, like many others, never had a clue), is flat broke and out of business. Too bad. May it rest in peace!"

National Review may not be far behind.
Trump has National Standards.
Bill Kristol had Weekly Substandards.
Trump should designate a pit bull, or hatchet man to do all the trolling for him.
Might not be a bad idea. A new Lee Atwater type.
From William Buckley to this jerk - sad
You’ve only been on FR for five days, and your posts certainly fit into the FR mileau. I predict that you’ll be posting here for at least 25 years. Cheers and welcome to FR.
Are you a French patriot? Just curious.
I stand corrected, thank you
Bill Kristol, biggest twerp ever?
LOL!
I never liked him or any Neo
Paleo > Neo
Kristol rode into Washington as an assistant to Bill Bennett, when the neocon cabal successfully savaged paleocon Mel Bradford with their hatred of the Confederacy and stole the NEH chairmanship for themselves. This was under Reagan- the treachery and back stabbing of paleos by neoconservatives goes all the way back to 1981.
This was visible if you were reading a variety of conservative publications back then. Human Events and Chronicles were writing from the paleo perspective. National Review and The American Spectator were mainstream- give them a decade and they would morph into anti-paleo rags cheerleading the GOP establishment line and lining up with neocons. If you wanted the 100 proof neocon party line during Reagan your best bet was Commentary Magazine. The NYC Trotskyite roots of neoconservatism could be found on full display there.
Trump in many ways has resurrected the concerns that paleos were voicing way back during Reagan. Immigration and the border. The loss of manufacturing and what it was doing to blue collar America. Cultural conservativism, a subject that had neocons and the GOPe sneering.
The only difference between neocons and demoncraps is that neocons wish to usher in a global fascist government via corporatism, whereas the demoncraps wish to get there via global socialism with allowances for corporatists.
