Like its hero, it's the kind of film that surveys the strangeness in front of it, flashes a smile, and dives right in. And if it stays in the water a bit too longwell, I'd still come back for a sequel."
Critics like Mashable's Angie Han concede that Aquaman isn't without its barnacles, but contend the flick is at least worth the price of admission. Others are denouncing the DC Comics' tentpole as an irrefutable, outright flop.
The Jason Momoa and Amber Heard-starring adventure tackles the origin story of the Justice League's trident-wielding hero, taking viewers into the seven kingdoms of Atlantis and entrenching them in ocean-dwelling politics.

I only watch them if they are on my very basic Dish. The only one I thought was OK was the first “Spiderman”.
I saw one a few weeks ago which I almost skipped because I didn’t like the title. It was actually pretty good. It was also really odd. It was “Kick Ass”.
$93m opening overseas. Generally if the critics dont like it, I will love it.
DC forever despite the movie misfires.
That movie was great...a little violent but wow.
Which destroyer did you serve on?
I was Henry B Wilson (DDG-7). 79-84
Sorry, but except for the movies, DC has Marvel beaten in every other category. Few Marvel titles are worth a read at this point (unless you enjoy SJW swill), while DC's Rebirth has been mostly good. Animation? Not even close. TV shows are closer to a wash, but DC has generally done a good job with their TV shows.
If I understand you, I agree.
I look at the RT scores. If audience is high, and critic is low, I consider seeing.
Too white. Too wholesome. That is the answer.
I am thinking I will pass on both.
More and more, I watch my old DVDs of Buffy, Angel, Firefly, Smallville - or the original Superman and Batman, or MCU Phase I & II movies - to sate my old comic collector genes.
When Phase III is done, I may opt out of the MCU altogether. I think Phase IV - or the Cosmic Whatever - may become Episode VIII/Solo level PC.
Lots of folks find reason to ‘boycott’ these movies...I like to be entertained and these movies are generally entertainment...
DE 1085 USS Donald B. Beaty. 1974 to 1977
I haven’t read any books in decades but dc cartoons beat the marvel ones. Haven’t seen the tv shows but dc cant do movies. Marvel can only do movies but i did like the daredevil series.
Ive heard its a great movie.

I saw it yesterday and enjoyed it very much; and I did not think it was too long. I loved the CGI underwater scenery. It was well done — even with their hair swaying as if they really were underwater. My only regret is that I did not see it in 3D.
He is Married to Lisa Bonet. (Yes, THAT Lisa Bonet)
He said she would be pissed if he cut his hair and shaved his beard.
Glad you went...so was I.....it was just fun and pure entertainment and i also thought they did a good job..........which is what I will pay to see. So much ‘other’ one can find on TV and often not of interest to me. Netflex at least you can choose...but even there is a lot of junk.
Did you stay through the credits and see the scene which will likely be the promise of a sequel?
Spider verse movie... Don’t waste your money. Purely a little kid’s movie.
