BATON ROUGE - A woman is facing charges following an incident at an area middle school.
On November 2, Faith Celestine was called to Capitol Middle School because her teenage son had been arrested for attacking a teacher. At the school, authorities told Celestine she needed to sign a form, so her son could be released to her. At that time, Celestine agreed to sign the form and authorities took the handcuffs off the teen.
At some point, the teen became disruptive and was told by Celestine to stand outside the office. Once out the door, the teen began to fight with Celestine's adult son.
Celestine then told them to take the fight outside. When everyone was outside, Celestine told her sons to "run" because she didn't have bail money for them.
Arrest documents say, the two men fled following Celestine's order.
Authorities told Celestine she still needed to sign the custody form, but she refused. Documents say a deputy then attempted to place Celestine under arrest. Celestine began to yell at the responding deputy and said she "wasn't going to jail." She then fled the scene.
Celestine was charged with disturbing the peace, contributing to the delinquency of juveniles, and resisting an officer.

Why didn’t she just sign the form?
“Run, I ain’t got bail money”. I can still hear it in my momma’s voice. Sigh!
And yet conservatives love to criticize, but offer no workable solutions as to how a family like this can be helped, nor do they understand why they behave the way they do in the first place. This is what poverty does, when you are in constant survival mode, you make bad choices in order to fix the situation you face right now (she had no bail money if her sons got arrested, therefore run so they don't get arrested) without concern for the future, because your brain has not been trained to consider the future, you only consider the moment you're in. It's a survival tactic and it needs to be disrupted and retaught. Only by addressing poverty (something more than just "get a job you bum!" because most of them have jobs) can this kind of behavior be stopped. And better yet, not taught to the next generation. But as long as conservatives just treat them like animals and assume they enjoy being this way, no progress will happen
There’s a whole lot of FUBAR going on here, long before she got around to not signing the form ...
I think reader/commenter Ashley Michele has gotten the cart before the horse ...
True, but it seemed from the story that all of them could have left with no further charges - if only because the school administration couldn’t be bothered - if she had just signed the form.
A real peach of a mother. Her sons will spend most of their lives in jail, so they should get used to it. If only God had made reproduction a ten-step process, it would have solved many problems in this world.
A good reply...
SoothSayer Ashley Michel an hour ago
Your solution is to take the taxpayer’s money and give it to someone who didn’t work for it. Those big bad mean conservatives just want to tell her to “get a job” or “raise your kids properly” or “be a responsible person”. Everyone knows the real problem is that we didn’t give this woman enough free stuff. It definitely isn’t a lack of respect for law and authority, respect in general, or morality. It’s obviously society’s fault this woman is crazy.
This is another example of how leftists are literally f**king insane.
being financially poor and morally poor are two different things ..
If Reader / commenter Ashley Michele was right crime would have skyrocketed during the Great Depression. It didn’t.
I will go so far as to say that at least several formative years in my childhood were spent in poverty (with my mom and 4 siblings). We did not make bad choices. We made choices that would make things better in the long run, and it seemed to work.
This is liberal thinking, to justify bad behavior and bad choices by claiming “poverty” as the cause.
I am curious as to what this Ashley Michele would suggest we should do to “address poverty”. I suspect it is a short list of how we can give more money to “help”.
Genuine laughing out loud, sir.
I notice from her picture she has the money for a hairdresser. I would guess her priorities are skewed.
I didn’t need to look.
But I did.
I’m so ashamed.................
Ashley is a moron.
I was raised in absolute destitute poverty in MISSISSIPPI!
Being poor is NO EXCUSE FOR BEING A CRIMINAL!................
Those weaves cost hundreds of dollars................
It ain't my fault.
This seems to be the underlying fallacy in all aid to single mothers.
If you have any money left over after paying your Carbon Taxes, you can “donate” it to fine, upstanding mothers like this.
