What else was going on in August? Someone had to take over Comey’s day-to-day business?

Was Comey previously tasked with prepping the “special” FISA renewal application, due in (I think) September for October signature? Someone had to be assigned to get that done. Someone had to sign it, too.

Somehow, maybe someone had to scramble to get the paperwork together; make sure all the relevant dox were in the files?

That is exactly what happened. Not that one of those corrupt baskirds in the FIB wouldn't have let him read the August ones as well. The originals didn't fit the frame up. They were altered in August to provide what Mueller needed to prosecute a patriot and a hero. I will watch with satisfaction when they face justice

Or he read them when they were originally produced in January or February 2017, before they were rewritten to make Flynn look like he lied.
